In anthropology, “landscape” is the human interpretation and transformation of the physical environment in which we live.
With a glance, a walk or a tour, we can discover a lot about a place: is it walkable, are there women on the streets?, what does it imply for safety? are there hanging clothes or street vendors?what does it reveal about the economy?
The urban landscape tells stories through its walls, streets, sounds and social interactions. These ever-changing narratives reflect the diversity and collective dynamics of its inhabitants. Beyond the physical space, the urban landscape comes alive in the interaction between human and non-human actors, with those who inhabit it being the true authors of the “urban text”.

We do not all transit the streets the same way

When electricity is obvious

The daily flower negotiation

Clothes has to dry

Another soccer fan

a local, yet imperial greet

Rushing through the city

Mom, we forgot to take the decorations

The supermarket was closed

A monday afternoon

Grandma is cooking lunch

A chat with your local Santera

Im the Chinese neighborhood, there were no longer chinese people
